Cookie Policy

This page, last revised October 7, 2026, explains why GarageFloor Lab sets cookies and what you can do about them. Cookies are small files that a website places on your device so that it can recognise the device again, remember a choice, or measure use. The same goes for related tools such as pixels and local storage.

To make the site work

A few cookies are essential. They protect the site against abuse, spread traffic across servers, and remember what you chose in the cookie notice. These do not need your consent because the site cannot function without them.

To remember small things

Preference cookies keep trivial conveniences, such as the fact that you have already dismissed a banner, so that it does not keep reappearing.

To learn how the site is used

Analytics services set cookies that let us count visitors and see which pages they read, in aggregate. We use the results to decide what to write next and what to fix. We do not use them to identify individuals.

To pay for the site

Advertising networks, including Google, set cookies so that ads can be shown, limited in number and measured. Third-party vendors use cookies to serve ads based on a person’s previous visits to this site or others, and Google’s DoubleClick DART cookie lets it and its partners serve ads based on visits to this and other websites. If you prefer ads that are not tailored, switch them off at Google Ads Settings, or use aboutads.info and the Network Advertising Initiative for other vendors. Ads will still appear; they simply will not be based on your browsing history.

Taking control

Where the law requires consent, we ask for it before setting non-essential cookies, and the cookie settings link in the footer lets you change your mind at any time. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser, or browse privately. We do not respond to Do Not Track signals, because no standard exists for doing so.
